K Sports under 10s youth team win big at the Maidstone Invicta Festival and become champions!
The newly formed K Sports under 10s team smash their first tournament finishing the festival on Sunday 28th November 2021 with an undefeated win, bringing the cup home this Autumn.
After only being together since May 2021 the kids have had an amazing journey together building confidence and becoming a force to be reckoned with.
Manager Scott Willson formed the team on the 23rd of May 2021 and with the aid of coaches Jerome Lawford and Steve Pass, developed the kids to become a solid and confident team.
“The team have become so close in the short time they have been together. It has been a strange and odd time for grass roots football with the delayed return due to covid and then having matches cancelled and training postponed but the kids worked hard, stuck at it and pushed themselves to become the confident team that they are now. We are all extremely proud of them! “Coach Jerome Lawford commented.
Manager Scott Willson said “we’ve achieved so much in just 6 months, so proud of this bunch. Here’s to many successful seasons to come.”
Being a keen supported of grass roots football it didn’t take long for the team to catch the eye of local company Digital Image Solutions who offered to sponsor them, MD Keith Lawford says “we couldn’t be prouder of what the team have achieved, the festival has been great to watch and was a real showcase of the talent and skills all the young footballers have.”
The team are now looking forward to the next festival and can’t wait to get back out there and compete again!
